This Saturday we will visit Cotopaxi National Park.
This is an exciting day that begins with spectacular views of the unique Andean landscape in the “Avenue of the volcanoes." Once inside the national park we hike up to the refuge, which is situated at 4800m off the Cotopaxi snowline. We take a short hike to the nearby glacier where lunch is served with spectacular views of the valley below and surrounding volcanoes; followed by a safety briefing to commence our downhill descent on mountain bikes! (Who does not like bikes, can be in the car) The journey finishes at the beautiful lagoon at the base of Cotopaxi. After this we will return to Quito.

"I had a cracking trip to Cotopaxi, so high it did literally make me dizzy, as well as short of breath. But the scenery was ace and I took a ton of photos on the way down. . . .Must be the highlight of my trip so far!"
