Volunteer while you Study Spanish in Quito
The best way to study any language is to immerse oneself as fully as possible in the new language. To facilitate this process, Yanapuma has organized the Quito Volunteer Package, a month-long package that combines four hours per day of Spanish instruction with volunteering each day in a Quito-based volunteer project.
Our Spanish school and Foundation are dedicated to community service and improving the lives of Ecuadorians while offering our students the chance to learn and experience Ecuadorian cultures. The Quito Volunteer Package was created for Spanish students looking for an intensive Spanish language and cultural learning experience including the opportunity to help others. These packages include 20 hours per week, 4 hours per day of classroom Spanish instruction each afternoon and four or five mornings of volunteering.
The minimum time for this program is 4 weeks, and we recommend that you have a basic knowledge of Spanish to volunteer. If you have little or no prior knowledge of Spanish, we require a minimum of two weeks of classes at our school before beginning the volunteer program. We arrange the volunteer program and a member of our staff will accompany the student on the first day of the volunteer project. Of course, you are welcome (and encouraged) to continue volunteering at these projects once you have completed the 4-week program without any further charge.
Projects vary, ranging from working in daycare centers or with children and youth, in schools, or with a recycling or conservation project. For more details on these options please visit our volunteer page, or if you have other questions, please contact us.
