Spanish Classes while you Explore Quito's rich Culture
Quito was declared a World Heritage site in 1978. Its historic center is recognized as the best-preserved historic center in Latin America with many fine buildings, museums and cultural centers. There are plenty of other sites of interest in and around Quito, from museums to parks to historical sites. We have created the Quito Cultural Package to offer our Spanish students the chance to explore this rich, vibrant and diverse city while they study Spanish.
The packet combines 4 hours per day, 20 hours per week of Spanish classes with visits to some of Quito’s cultural treasures accompanied by a teacher. Four excursions per week are included, offering plenty of opportunity for exploring the city and practicing your Spanish at the same time. This is a weekly program that can be taken for up to 4 weeks with different excursions each week.
Some of the many fascinating places that Spanish School students visit on the Quito Cultural Package are:
- Museum "Intiñan" on the equator (Mitad del Mundo) and Pululahua Crater
- Tour of the historic colonial center of Quito, its churches, palaces and squares
- Museum of the Banco Central
- Museo “Guayasamin” and “Capilla del Hombre”
- Botanical Garden and Vivarium
- Museo de la Ciudad
- Mindalae ethno-historical musuem
- Museo Casa del Alabado
- Panecillo and the “Virgen de Quito”
- Concerts and special events
The Quito Cultural package is an immersion experience. Aside from 4 hours of individual classes you will be visiting the sites in Quito with a teacher and continuing to practice the Spanish you are learning in real-life settings.
This package is ideal for those who want to combine more touristic pursuits with learning Spanish or those who would like the added comfort of seeing the sights with a local guide.
And if you have particular interests that you would like to follow while you are in Quito we will be happy to arrange visits to alternative sites with a teacher for you.
