Study Spanish and Explore Quito's rich Culture
Quito was declared a World Heritage site in 1978. Its historic center is recognized as the best-preserved historic center in Latin America with many fine buildings, museums and cultural centers. There are plenty of other sites of interest in and around Quito, from museums to parks to historical sites. We have created the Quito Cultural Package to offer our Spanish students the chance to explore this rich, vibrant and diverse city.
The packet combines 4 hours per day, 20 hours per week of Spanish classes with visits to some of Quito’s cultural treasures accompanied by a teacher. Four excursions per week are included, offering plenty of opportunity for exploring the city and practicing your Spanish at the same time. This is a weekly program that can be taken for up to 4 weeks with different excursions each week.
You can download a brochure with more information on this program, including additional information about the sites we visit.
Some of the many fascinating places that students on the Quito Cultural Package visit are:
- Museum "Intiñan" on the equator (Mitad del Mundo) and Pululahua Crater
- Cable car ride above the city, “Teleférico”
- Tour of the historic colonial center of Quito, its churches, palaces and squares
