Study Spanish and Volunteer!
Yanapuma Spanish School supports the work of Yanapuma Foundation in its work to improve conditions throughout Ecuador. Volunteering is a great way to practice your newly learned Spanish skills, a great opportunity to offer your help, and the best way to really experience the culture and people of Ecuador.
We can organize volunteering for you in Quito while you study through our Quito Volunteer Package or outside Quito in any of the interesting projects that are listed below. Yanapuma has partnered with organizations throughout the country to offer reliable and well-organized volunteering opportunities through its Volunteer Ecuador program. Our objective is to unite willing volunteers with genuine programs so that both will benefit from the experience, and we do everything we can to ensure that everything works out smoothly, even accompanying you to the project to make sure that all is well. Click here to find out how the program works.
Whether you are interested in working with children, rescued animals, whales, organic horticulture, forests, hospitals and clinics or schools, we can find a volunteering opportunity for you with an organization that is working for the long-term benefit of the people and environment of Ecuador.
We can also offer you the opportunity to join one of our group projects. These are generally two or three week projects on specific dates, working in one of the communities that we support. Activities normally involve traditional construction, environmental or reforestation work, working with children, etc.
Yanapuma also offers the chance to study in one of the communities that we are working with. This is a great opportunity to get off the beaten track and learn about life in another culture. We work with communities in the Amazon rainforest, at the coast, and in the Andes. More information is available on our foundation website at www.yanapuma.org.
