Group Spanish Classes at Yanapuma . . .
Most of our classes are individual classes - one teacher to one student, as this is by far the optimum way to learn. However we do offer group classes at beginner level for those students who seek the most economical way of learning the basics.
We offer 2 options for your group Spanish lessons:
Beginner Spanish Classes - 20 hours per week, 4 hours per day - 9.00 am to 1.00 pm.
Beginner Spanish Package - Combines the same 20 hours of classes with 4 cultural excursions per week to places of interest in and around Quito, and also includes accommodation, either in a hostal or with a host family. Please see details below.
Regular group classes start on the first Monday of each month. Each week has a set schedule for 4 hours per day and each week builds on the learning of the previous week. Classes are split between learning the necessary grammar and a variety of activities that get you speaking and listening to the language so that you learn in a more natural way. You will be assigned homework each day. If you already speak a little Spanish you may choose to join the 2nd or 3rd weeks of classes. The Beginner Spanish Package adds 4 excursions onto the regular 20 hours of classes, leaving Friday afternoon free for weekend activities. These excursions explore the rich cultural and historical heritage of Quito with visits to key museums, parks, markets, and places of interest. The excursions are listed in the table below:

Yanapuma's Spanish programs are recognized and authorized by the Ecuadorian Ministry of Education (registration number #1603DINEPP-MEC).
We also offer optional conversation sessions, cooking and salsa classes, movie nights, and other social activities to keep life outside of Spanish classes interesting.
